Welcome to PCHF deadlyhifi

You need to "take ownership" of the folders/files. Right click on the folder > properties > security tab > advanced > permissions tab > add your new username (make sure that the "Replace user permissons..... box is ticked at the bottom).

Then owner tab > do the same

If the security tab is not showing open Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > view - scroll to the bottom of the list and un-check "use simple file sharing".

Make sure you select to propogate the rights thru the child folders and files - that way your ownership will be granted in all sub folders and files contained within. All of the options are available thru the security tab.

Try searching for the file extensions in Search - like this - *.jpg, *.png, *.gif, *.bmp etc....

Hello to all!

Me has the same and/or similar problem, with a twist.

I get this error message:
*****
D:\My Documents is not accessible.

Access is denied.
*****

This is from a fresh install of WINXP PRO

Twist: Folder properties for all folders, are "General" "Sharing" "Customize".
So unable to change ownership, tired logging in with Administrator too.

Thank you for your time and efforts.
