Hi, the majority of passwords can be cracked (especially if the "hacker" is actually ON the PC that is being cracked). All he/she needs is the right tools, time and the (1337) skills
The best thing to do with any password is to make it alpha-numeric (numbers and letters) at least 12 characters, words or a phrase that isn't common to you and most of all keep it private!

I wouldn't bet $50 on that.

Set a password in your BIOS, which you cannot get past (because the computer will not boot unless the correct password is given), unlike XP passwords, which you can get behind using another OS like Linux. Also, if you want me to generate an extremely secure password, I can md5 encrypt a simple word for you (free, by the way) and it will be transformed into a long string extremely hard to crack.

He might be able to reset the BIOS password if he actually opened up your PC and reset the CMOS via the jumper on the board.

Is that the only way to reset the Password?
