Windows XP/2000 - [Resolved] SP-2 stops Games working posted in the Operating Systems forums; Does anybody know if there are any work arounds for games like MotoRacer 3 that worked on XP prior to installing SP-2 but don't work afterwards. Thanks for your help ...

Default [Resolved] SP-2 stops Games working

Does anybody know if there are any work arounds for games like MotoRacer 3 that worked on XP prior to installing SP-2 but don't work afterwards. Thanks for your help in advance.

Check on the manufacturer's website, there may be bugfixes there, in the meantime, I will see if I can track down a fix for MotoRacer 3 for you.

Edit:

OK, an update:

Apparently this is a known issue, there are at least 50 other games and scores of other apps that do not get along with SP2, some being Microsoft's own. From what I can see, there is no bugfix availible, I will keep looking though.

Unfortunately, as Spcekid said, there appears to be no fix for this and many other programs/games running on WinXP SP2.
