Default [Pending] freeze storm

My computer is having this problem whenever i run a big program. Nothing occurs when I use word processor, but when i use winamp and word processor, the computer freezes for about 3 seconds, and then later comes back to normal. I use Windows Home edition XP, without service pack 2. Needless to say, this "freeze storm" occurs whenever i play full screen games, or even an emulator, and its killing me. I cant move and my ping shoots up beyond comprehension. I dont understand what is going on. During this freeze storm, my system process shoots up to about 50% usage. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Is there any specific reason why you are still on Service Pack 1 ?

It sounds like a memory issue but that could also relate to registry/spyware problems.

Look in "Handy Tools" in my signature and run those antispyware programs along with a registry cleaner.

Would you also be able to post a spec on your computer along with a Hijackthis log.

Well your HiJackThis log seems extremely clean so not a Spyware issue.

Do you have another machine that you could swap RAM with as a test?
