Having problems reinstalling Internet Explorer.

Had problems with IE before so I removed it from my computer. I thought I didn't need and was happy using alternative browsers. That is until they started messing me about to. Decided to download IE 6. First of all, it kept stopping because I had a higher version of IE on my computer. Which I didn't. But I sorted this problem out, went back, got past the stage I had previously stopped at, and is now stopping telling me that "the product is not Microsoft verified". Despite the fact that it is a Microsoft product. I hate Microsoft. Please either help me fix this problem, or help kill every single Microsft employee ever. Except maybe the cleaners.

Have you tried uninstalling all versions of Internet Explorer that you may have installed on your system.
To do this go into Add/Remove Programs then Add/Remove Windows Components and untick Internet Explorer.

Once it has uninstalled restart your machine, go into the same menu, place the tick back in the box and continue the install.

If the Internet Explorer Repair Tool Verification does not work, or if Internet Explorer 5 is not listed in the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel, you may be able to start the Internet Explorer Repair tool from a command prompt.
To do so, click Start, click Run, and then in the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK:

rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"

NOTE: This command is case sensitive.
