Add Background Image in any folders/drives....its a lame technique:tongue: but it fun!
Step 1
Open any drives, or folders.
Show hidden files first. Then
right click--->
New--->
Text document. Paste this:-
[ExtShellFolderViews]
{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}={BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}
[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
Attributes=1
IconArea_Image=Folder Settings\background.jpg
IconArea_Text=0x00000000
[.ShellClassInfo]
ConfirmFileOp=0

..and save as
desktop.ini. Overwrite the existing file if asked.
Step 2
Create a new folder in the same place you save the
desktop.ini. Name it to
Folder Settings. And then put any graphic you like in this folder and name it to
background.jpg.
Most important thing is, the resolution of the background image you've selected must be the same as the window size in the red framed area (picture 2). This can be measured using
cropping feature in Photoshop or other graphic program. For example, the good size for the graphic with standard UI preset in 1024x768 desktop setting should be -
934x627. Depends on your desktop resolution.
Step 3
Select both, the new created
folder and the
*.ini file, set them to hidden. Then, in the folder option, set back to
Dont show Hidden Files. So they wont annoy you when browsing your drive.
Achtung!!
Some folders wont works, especially when there are too many photos inside the folder (and I still dont know why). But for drives, on any drives even your USB thumb drive, it will work.. Im trying to apply this to animated GIF file, but the file is too big, and resource hungry maybe..
