What's up folks? It's been a while.I've just been sorting out some issues,1 being SP2 :x. I had installed it,& kinda liked it,but then it started messing with my POST,I Know this sounds strange considering that the OS loads after the POST,but I did not have this problem before SP2 nor since I clean installed Windows. The thing was that the machine would startup & boom this blue screen with some kinda log would come up,but only for second &then I would be forced to enter safe mode.I checked the system log & it said I had a faild device(I doubted the software more than I did the hardware), anyway I uninstalled the thing,&still had this problem, that's y I began from scratch.I'm kool now ,but I refuse to put this thing anywhere near my drive...

Long time no see Wong? ?

I think you could live without service pack 2, the only issue that you will probably have is you might not be able to download any additional windows updates which could make your machine vulnerable to virus/hacker attacks.

If you ever reload Service Pack 2 and have the same problem then my suggestion would be to check your Event Viewer log.
It sounds like there is just a driver problem and the event log will give you an error number which you can lookup on the web. (very easy to find)

Normally errors in the event log are easy to find information on and to fix.

Good luck if you are sticking with SP1, let us know how you get on.?

Ya, you could live without it, my friend got sick of it after 6 months with the beta , and uninstalled it.
