Default [Fixed] - IE6 wont open links

Hi i just found this forum a little while ago and since everyone was so helpful in solving my previous problem i thought i would see if anyone can help me with this.? I've read through the other topics and didn't see it but if it is there please let me know.? A while back i downloaded a update for interent explorer that was optional and ever since the IE will not open links.? If i try to open a link it just opens a new window and nothing happens--no page cannot be displayed no anything.? I have been through all my windows updates in my control panel and cannot determine which on it is (I don't really want to delete them all and start from scratch).? It is not a huge problem as i use firefox as my main browser but it does rear it's ugly head on those occasions where IE is needed (stupid microsoft) :x.? If anyone can help and let me know which update this is it would be very appreciated.
