Default [Answered] Windows XP SP2 Problem

Since upgrading to SP2 last week, I already have encountered 4 crashes. I have reported the problem to microsoft oca but still have the same problem. Does anyone here know what to do with this problem? Or is this a hardware problem or a software problem?

Welcome to PCHF.

Windows crashes could be caused by a whole host of things.

1) Do you get an error message before crashing?
2) Can you look in your System event viewer and tell us any error messages in there
3) Download and run this tool: http://www.pchelpforum.com/forum/index.php?board=36.0 and post details about your hardware here please.

Have you also checked for viruses and spyware, as these can also be common problems.

@ Hengis

Before crashing there are no error messages. Just a black screen.

Have tried scanning also but no virus found.

On the event viewer there are lots of errors, I saw.

Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. Hope to be able to use my pc again normally.

Would you be able to save your event log and then attach them to the site. We really only need the system log and the application log.
To do this look below:

In event viewer simply right click on application and "save log file as". Give it a name and save it to your drive. Do the same with the system log.
