Windows XP/2000 - [Answered] Windows won`t shut down posted in the Operating Systems forums; When I go to shut down my Comp//i.e. Start..Shut Down...select Shut down..then o.k. done..it doesn't shut down..just hangs on a Blank Screen ..as if it wants to boot up again...and ...

Default [Answered] Windows won`t shut down
When I go to shut down my Comp//i.e. Start..Shut Down...select Shut down..then o.k. done..it doesn't shut down..just hangs on a Blank Screen ..as if it wants to boot up again...and to shut it down I have to press the power button on the processessor. Is there anything I can do to stop this happening....it seems somethings not right.. When I turn on again the next day it obviously runs through all the process of checking the discs for errors etc.

I had a look around on this one and a lot of people swear by this FREE utility: Slawdog Smart Shutdown - give it a go and let us know what happens.
