Default [Fixed] Windows Update Problem

Hi All,
I have recently got a new dell PC, everything works fine except I can't access windows update or even http://www.microsoft.com even. I just get a blank page.? I reisntalled windows xp home, same problem. I have internet access through a router and my other pcs run windows update fine on the network, ive even swopped network cables.? Ive uninstalled the network driver and reinstalled it from the download of the Dell site.

Any ideas, this one has me stumped

The only error mesage I get is Page Cannot be Found when it times out

Regards

Andrew
