I must have a wrong setting somewhere, but this happens on some sites, whether I have the pop-up blocker on or not.
I click on a link, it opens in a new window, but before it has finished loading it just goes away!
Trying right click and open link in new window has the same effect. Can anyone tell me what setting I need to change to correct this?

I have:
WinXP SP2 and IE6
Norton Systemworks 2005
Ad-Aware SE Plus, Spybot S&D, Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and BHO demon

Hmmm...I think this still has something to do with "Pop-up stopping" of some sort.

Please can you test it by doing the following: Hold down CTRL whilst clicking on a link that will open in a new window - that way it will bypass any pop-up software...let us know what happens.

I am running XP Pro at the moment, have upgraded from XP SP2 because we needed Outlook. Should I reinstall that?
I can't find a similar article on Microsoft for IE errors in Win XP Pro for this or the following new problem:
I am now getting an error message and IE has to close, which refers to msvcrt.dll, and the module version number says it is Windows NT CRT DLL, and is in WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386 and in WINDOWS\sytem32\dllcache

Did you try either of the suggestions above?

I tried the bypass option, but no difference, and I ran the Windows file scan, but that didn't bring up anything wrong.
I didn't do the Microsoft thing because I was confused when I got to the page, as to whether I should follow the reinstall Windows XP SP2 option, when I am running XP Pro, or not. There doesn't seem to be any way of just repairing IE6.
