[Answered] Run script or autoexec before user log on XP?
Hi i need help in this. Right now i am trying to do a simple auto maintenace for all PCs in my work place. Around 200 PCs. I intended to run "delete user profile, delete temp folder, delete prefect, delete IE cached, empty recycle bin and defragmentation" during auto power on boot up every morning. i intended to run a script or autoexec.bat without a user to log in. but can't get it with Win XP.
Manage to do it in Win 98.
:oops:Is there any ways for me to do?
Is there anyone who can help knows how to run a script before a users logs on?
Also how to define with what account this is running, system account or predifined account?
Thanks in advance for a reply!

There is no right or wrong,
only fun and boring.
You can create a task in scheduled tasks and define that it should run when system startup, this will run before the user logs on.
Note: You need to include an account to run the task with.

Alternatively you can do it through Active Directory GPO's
This works if you are running on a domain. Basically login to the domain server and go to Active Directories. Go to the properties of your organisation (so where all your users account names are) and you can add things to Startup / Shutdown, logon/ logoff you can change all sorts of settings within there.
If this sounds like a better solution then let me know and I shall try help
