Default [Resolved] IE not working

So everytime I use IE my Computer Either restarts or goes to the "Page cannot be displayed" page, so I switched to Firefox and All was going good till about not even a minute into web surfing my comp just restarts...I know there is viruses but I use my Avast! prog to try and get rid of them but half way through the scan it restarts... :x what Do I do?

First, try another anti-virus product - see this thread: http://www.pchelpforum.com/forum/ind...pic,131.0.html

Next, get a piece of software that tells you your motherboard and cpu temps...your problem could be heat related. Here is one suggestion: http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

Do you get a "countdown" message when your PC is about to re-boot?

Well depends how sierious the viruses are. If they are permanent then theres goign to be a problem. I had some siriuous porblems with my comp and viruses peopel hacked into my comp and disfigured my windows task maneger and all sorts of ****. What i did is i just put in my computer restore disk that came for my computer and it just deletd everything and it all was like i first got my computer. If you have to resort to this option then save all programs u need on a disk then begin.
