I've installed SP2, and disabled Auto Updates. There is now a little red shield icon with a cross in my toolbar. Anyway to get rid of it? Its Irritating, asking you to activate Auto Updates when I have totally no intension of doing so since it sucks up RAM and I'm 56k. Thanks.

Ok, it's due to the fact that you have Automatic Updates turned off that you are getting the little icon. The best thing to do if u want to rid yerself of the icon is to go into the "Security Centre" via Start > Settings > Control Panel.

Go to the bottom of the box and click on Automatic Updates. If you don't want to see the icon select "Notify me but don't automatically install them".
