i would like to address this problem to you all. Im running XP with SP2 installed, and when i go to shut down there are other users logged on. In total there are 3 accounts on the pc. Now when they are all logged on and i decide to shut down, the logoff sound plays three times. When i had SP1 and they were all logged on the sound only played once.

Is there anyway i can fix this?

I know how I would fix it -

start > settings > control panel > sounds and audio devices > "sounds" tab > find "exit windows" in the list > highlight it and select "none" from the drop down list at the bottom of the window.....

Why anyone would want to listen to that pile of.....every time their Windows starts or shuts down is totally beyond me.
