Hi there. You need to post a list of the programs that are starting up when your Windows session boots. You can do that by clicking on Start > run > type "msconfig" > then hit the "Startup" tab.

If you list here the programs that are there, someone will tell you what you need and don't need

My first post too.

Can you kill Nerocheck and CT helper? CT helper is installed with Audigy cards and takes up a goodly amount of RAM. I checked with Blackviper and it only mentions what it does. Can I safely delete it without something screwing up? Thanks.

Nerocheck can be stopped as a service and removed from the startup but it is advisable to keep CT Helper going:

This process is a part of software used for managing Creative sound cards. It is present in the startup, and it is adviseable to keep it there, unless it slows down the performance of your computer.

nvcpl
nvmctray
nwiz
All relate to NVidia cards - so no probs (so long as u have an NVidia card!!!)

Updreg can be turned off - it's just a registration reminder for Creative cards!

type32.exe description: Related to Microsoft Keyboards. Necessary if you have customized the Hot Keys. Default location is "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Hardware\Keyboard\". See also IntelliType.

ctfmon is ok to leave - it is a normal windows function.
