....this any good?

You will need to extract the .zip files (CD1 and CD3) using WinZip. You may need to burn the files onto 3 separate CDs as well, depending on the installation program.

Place CD 1 into your CDROM drive (or open the CD 1 folder). Run the "load" program (not Setup, as it checks for a dongle and will not continue).
Follow the instructions and insert CDs 2 and 3 when prompted (or navigate to the correct folder which contains the files, if possible).
After rebooting, open Explorer and select the Microcat folder in C:
Confirm the MCDR file is present. If not, copy it from CD 3 into the Microcat folder. This file can be found in the "Microcat Infomedia Generic Microguard Dongle Removal 1" folder, CD 3.
Run the MCDR file. You may need to be logged in as an administrator as the program attempts to open a DOS window. Click "y" to proceed and follow the on-screen instructions. This will replace the files that detect if a dongle is present.
You are now ready to run Microcat. Click (or double-click) on the Microcat desktop icon. A "Self-learn" window will open - press "cancel" and the log-on screen is displayed. Select "administration" and enter a username and password.

C: isn't a removable drive - it's your main system drive (the one that Windows is installed on). If you followed the first part - i.e. the install, then you should have a folder on your harddrive - c:\microcat, if not you can always create this folder thru Windows Explorer (right click on "Start" and choose "Explore").
