to run the MCDR file ,does that mean right click on "Run as..."? if so,i get the "Run as"dialogue box comes up,whic gives me the option of user account. i opted for Current user,and then the DOS screen(? black background with silver writing) comes up.

i think my head is about to explode :lol:

Default 'copy the file...'

my memory does not serve me correctly,as i may have used a name i have forgotten. there again,i had to return the tower back to HP because it packed up on me. how can i check this?

Default 'copy the file...'

Right Click on "My Computer"

Left Click on "Manage"

Expand the "local users and groups" folder

Choose "Users"

Right click on the correct user name on the right and select properties...now look at the "member of" tab....that will tell you.

Default 'copy the file...'

"local users and groups" i don't have. but have Computer management(local). i've been searching for "users",can't see it.

ok - go to control panel find "users" and try to get the info that way.
