I have Vista Ultimate 64-bit. Yay? It's been two months and I still have mixed feelings.
It blue screens. A lot. Way more than XP ever did. This is on the level of Windows Millennium Edition. My network card and my sound card gave me constant trouble until recently when I was able to acquire updated drivers. I have my fingers crossed on those.
The current problem is...antivirus? Vista randomly crashes to a blue screen, reboots, then points its finger at 'anti virus software'. I say randomly because it happens at night when the computer is alone, and while I'm working during the day. (It seems to always crash when I'm running un-named program, but I don't see how that can be the problem)
I switched Antivirus from Nod32 to Clamwin in hopes that the problem would go away, and it didn't. So what's the deal? I have my old XP disc sitting in front of me on my desk. I'm ready for a stable, compatible operating system again.
(On a side note, just how much processing power am I wasting by running a 32-bit OS on a core2quad?)
Thanks in advance, you guys are the greatest.
