Default Old Program Files from xp
Hey
I have upgraded from xp to vista, but the old xp program files are still visible on my c-drive. How can I delete these files? Hitting the delete button won't work. The files are not writing protected.

Hello and welcome to PCHelpForum.

Do you mean windows.old?

Try this:Click start/all programs/acessories/system tools/disk cleaup/right click choose run as admin/files from all users on this computer/choose C:/check all boxes and delete from there.

Thank. But actually it is the folder named "Programmer" in Danish (C:\Program Files). There are 2 of them. One with my vista files and still the old with the old xp-files7programs.

Right click properties on the file and uncheck read only click apply.
