Default Converting Quicktime MOV files to PC

I uploaded some movies from my camera to my computer. When I wanted to watch them my computer prompted me to download Quicktime, so I did. Now I have Vista on my computer which has a movie maker, which I want to use. How can I get the files into some format that I can work with?

Hey there LSB. I've heared good things about this free converter

Rad Video Tools

Convert the MOV files to AVI then you should be able to import them in to Windows Movie Maker
