Default New PC. Have few questions (SATA,RAM,VIdeo Card)

I bought the tower for $600 (included tax) from staples. I didn't know it was a 64-Bit Windows & machine . I was too happy I just bought it. I never owned a 64-bit, so I'm a bit weary. I just want to make sure I got the right PC before the 14 return policy .

My Questions:
  1. Can I upgrade the 4gb to 8gb? The manual says I can put 8GB, But SIW say max is 4096 MB. I thought I read that a 64-bit can go up to 8GB?
  2. Is there a way to hook up my old hard drive (IDE) to the new one PC (SATA) to transfer my files? If it sounds like I dont know what I'm talking about, well I don't. I've read you can either use IDE or SATA, but not both at the same time. I'm just trying to figure a way to get my files out into the new PC. The old one is dead (motherboard issue).
  3. Is it possible to add a external Video Card? check the Pic. Is that a AGP slot? I couldn't find this in the manual.
  4. It says it comes with firewire, but the specs below says not detected? Does this mean I don't, or just not active?

Alright I think I found the manual Product informationHP Pavilion a6530f Desktop PC

You can go up to 8GB with your memory using the 64-bit operating system.

Your video is currently integrated but the machine does have a PCI-E X16 slot which could be used for a stand alone video card.
