Default Vista Startup HELP!!

Hello all! I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me with this persistant problem . . . .
I have a Toshiba Sat P300 series laptop running Vista Home Premium, 4 gig ram, 2.5ghz and 600 gig hard drive.
After logging onto my profile it takes over 5 minutes before I can use any Windows or installed applications or connect to the internet. My desktop, taskbar and stuff load up fine but I cannot click on anything or connect for ages.
I didn't have this problem after I first made my user profile, and if I use a second profile it all loads up super fast. I've disabled everything in startup using msconfig and it still happens, but if I choose diagnostic startup it loads very fast.
Also . . . if I check the performance details in the event log via control panel it has over 700 events, mostly warnings and several critical warnings all having something to do with the shutdown and logon process. Included are some of the events mentioned:

I'm sorry if I dragged on a bit, but this laptop is only a few months old and this is the only problem i've had. I get the feeling that the problem is something to do with windows and/or my profile.
I've checked for spyware/viruses, and it really baffles me that if I transfer all my stuff to another profile it starts up perfectly for a while, then the problem kicks in again.
Any help greatly appreciated

Hi there, do you find, that the laptop starts up slowly, even before Windows?

No it's okay at first, but it starts to get slow after about 20 seconds when it gets to the windows screen. When it comes to my profile selection, the page has dozens of black lines going vertical across the screen, after that it's about 5 minutes before I can use anything, connect to the net or open a folder.

Download Startup Inspector for Windows, and Install that. The remove anything you dont need to startup except your Firewall, Anti Virus, and any Anti Spyware programs. Welcome to Startup Inspector for Windows

Then download ccleaner, run this and delete any temporary internet files and also run the registry cleaner within the program. CCleaner - Download

After you have done this post back and tell me if there is any improvement.
