I just upgraded from Vista Pro to Vista Ultimate, and have come across a fairly annoying issue. It used to be that music played through my speakers, and when I plugged in wired headphones into the jack, the source would automatically switch.

However, now I have to physically change the source myself in the Volume properties; both the speakers and the headphones are working properly, and the tests proved this, but I can't get my headphones to be detected automatically and play properly?

Hi do you have the original sound drivers and software for the sound card or the ones that where installed when it used to work?? I'd try reinstalling them and if thats no good download the latest drivers and software for your sound cards and install them.

Windows is telling me the drivers are all up-to-date...This was a clean install of the OS, as well. Additionally, my WMP volume isn't working in-program as well...never seen that before.
