Question Reinstall of Windows Vista

Hello people. Thank you for reading this!! I have an issue, I need to reinstall my Vista, I got a bunch of programs that can't be removed + some small infection that can be cured only by reinstall of OS. I have an Original Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate DVD. But when the installation begins, it does a check of all of the components and copies needed files to continue the installation. When it's trying to copy them, I get an error message:

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
CRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
If this is the first time you’ve seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any Windows Updates you might need.
If problems continue disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use SAFE MODE to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select SAFE MODE.
Technical Information:
(*** STOP: 0x0000000A (0xD50E580E, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x888BA8D7)

What do I do? What needs to be done here? I really need to reinstall this OS!! Please help me if you can. Thank you very much!!!!!

Hello,tyr the following:

Unplug all external hardware such as printers/scanners etc.

Retry the install of Vista.

How much RAM do you have fitted?

Wich Vista are you trying to install? As in what version?

Thank you for your help!! My problem is solved. My computer originally came with Home Premium. I reinstalled the original OS first. When that was done, I tried to upgrade to an Ultimate, and that was successful! Thank you for replying to this.
SOLVED!!
