Default Wmp 11

On my Dell Inspiron 1721 laptop running Vista, I have an odd problem.
When I listen to a music CD via the WMP, I can close the WMP and the music continues.
I have never come across anything like that before.
Is the a WMP version 11 issue or a Dell issue?

All assistance appreciated.

Hi Gandalf
While WMP is running, right click on your taskbar.
Then select Toolbars and click Windows Media Player.
Then when you minimize WMP11 there will be the toolbar for it.
Now try closing WMP11 and see if it ceases to continue playing music.
My friend had this problem and this worked for him so hopefully it will for you too.

Matt

I already had the Toolbars checked for the WMP.

If I go to File > Close, the music stops, and the window stays open.

I can stop the music by clicking on the WMP Stop button.

However, when I close the WMP window via the Close in the upper right corner of the window, the music doesn't stop.

Also, if I File > Exit, the window closes and the music continues.

Guess what...it's fixed.

I downloaded a new (for me) Registry cleaner...Official ToniArts software pages.

Why they can't make one Registry cleaner that does it all, I don't know.

But, when I ran this easycleaner, it fixed something in the registry and now when I close the WMP the music stops.

Sometime, it just magic...

Please mark this thread as [FIXED].
