Something is rotten in the state of Vista
I just wiped my laptop's hard disk drive (which was previously running Windows Vista SP1) and reinstalled Vista SP1 on it two nights ago.
I went through the routine procedures of changing all my settings back to the way I wanted them, installing the programs I used frequently/routinely, and went about my business as usual.
However I woke up this morning and began browsing the internet (Mozilla Firefox, latest version, windows firewall is on, have never had any problems with viruses/adware/spyware/malware before) and now Explorer.exe repeatedly stops working and restarts (it's done so 5 times since I started typing this message). I myself do not see any strange things running in my processes list, and I did not install anything recently that I have never used before, nor did I visit any websites that seemed to have adware/malware/etc. on them.
My computer is also running ridiculously slow all of a sudden, and often my programs will randomly stop responding.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be very very greatly appreciated.
