Hi everyone!
My laptop does not boot normally. It wouldnt even boot to safe mode before it restarts. I have to press F8 and select 'last good known configuration' for it to go to safe mode. I've tried installing Mcafee VS and ran it, it found some cookies, restarted, and still same problem.

JerryRecords, welcome to PCHF.

You do not want to multiple thread the same problem.

This is not a Newsgroup.

Or, are these seperate machines?

Thanks....

OK. I see now that the other thread is a different computer.

Have you modified the BIOS?
If so, suggest you restore the factory specs.

I see you are getting help from another website on this same subject and they are helping you so I suggest you carry on in case of conflicting procedures .

One quick question, does anyone know how to find the recovery manager in windows vista? i was told to go to 'start', 'all programs' and then click 'pc help and tools' but it's not the program list. Im still in safe mode since i cant boot to normal mode. Is there a way to access it through command prompt?
