Default Vista won't let me in

I have a Dell and the HDD is partitioned for me and my wife. I can get into her side, but mine won't open, and I am administrator. I want to get to the restore feature, but it keeps asking for a password. I don't think there is one. Any help would be appriciated. TY

welcome to PC Help Forum Norm,

If windows is asking for a password then either you or your wife put a password on. are you logged under the administrator name? did you install vista or did it come from dell?
