Angry Windows Mail Attachment Shutting Down Program

I've rec'd a large attachment which is causing my Windows Mail program to cease working. This happens when I attempt to delete it. It can't be deleted, the screen fades out, and a message appears that Windows Mail has ceased working. The program will
work if that message is not accessed, but can not delete a new message rec'd just above it as it then drops to the problem message which also causes the program to cease working. It also always appears as an unread message. The attachment was sent by a friend through a connection service which doesn't support attachments.

Do you have a webmail interface that you can access on that account? If you do then simply log into it and delete the offending email from your inbox.

Can you not just click on mark as unsafe?

I don't see anything that says mark as unsafe. I talked to my internet e-mail support tech who didn't know what to do. He thought it was likely a virus, but my internet provider runs McAfee on all e-mail. I also have it, just scanned my computer & it shows nothing.
