I read somewhere in a PC magazine that there were ways to improve gaming performance in Vista.

I have nVidia GeForce Go 7300. Anything will do... (Tips, performance tools, drivers, etc.)

Well apparently Vista SP1 improves gaming performance so i would try installing that if you havent already.

Anyone see my none deliberate mistake there. The GFX is a GO so the machine is a laptop so upgrading the card isnt going to be an option . How much ram does the machine have

If the My PC section is up to date 2gb is the system RAM. What games do you want to improve performance for tonyme?

Hey. I have 2 GB Ram and yes, I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop... So changing the card is not an option.

I wanna improve "Tomb Raider Anniversary" which doesn't have any patches since the original release back in July 2007 as I recall...

May wanna try updating your drivers.. But you're really not going to get much out of that 7300GO, it's not meant to game on really, even the desktop counterpart of the 7300 is pretty underpowered and lame.=\

You can try reducing the amount of active processes by shutting down applications that you don't use, but I highly doubt you'll see any significant improvements, switching to XP wouldn't even give you much of a performance boost. Honestly, it's a bad GPU for gaming.

I keep forgetting to look at that lol I said none deliberate it was a noobish moment on my behalf lol

Thanks for the help. I understand that my video card isn't made for gaming. It's too bad... I'm not much of a gamer myself, I just love the Tomb Raider games that's all!
