Default Brought HP Dv2700 in Thailand and cant completely rid the language on it?

Hi brought the laptop in Thailand but when I got to install a few programs it still reads as thailand as the correct language.

Under Regional and Language options Ive changed my location to australia, the format to english australia, keyboard to english (US) and set the language to non-Unicode programs to English australia then copied the settings to the reserved accounts and still when i need to install a few programs they come up in thai? How is this possible?

thx

Hi
Not running Vista-- but it appears there may be several steps to complete changeover.
