Default [Resolved] IE Search default

On my Dell laptop I have the Google Toolbar in the IE.
In the IE search box on the top right of the IE window, I have been trying to set "Change Search defaults..." to Microsoft.com
because there is a separate Google search engine on the left side of the Google Toolbar.
However, in the next IE window I open Google removes my change and making themselves the IE default Search engine.
Even when I delete Google from the option list, Google reinserts themselves as the IE default search engine.

Even with the Microsoft.com seach engine in place the Google Toolbox search engine still works
so I do not understand why Google is acting like a virus dominating the IE search engine environment.

Does anyone know how to override Google or do I need to delete the Google Toolbar in order to regain control of this search engine function?

Thanks...

Thanks. You gave me an idea that solved the problem.
I didn't have to reinstall Googles Toolbox.
I went to the Google Toolbox Settings...Options...More tab
The top entry is for Set and Keep Google emphasis on Keep.
I unchecked the box and that fixed the problem.

Please mark as resolved.

Thanks again...
