Unhappy My windows vista DVD ROM not reading any disks!!
Ok the dvd rom been working fine I been playing games like world of warcraft and others,but now I left that game like 2 months ago and havent put no disk ever since,and now I put on Call of duty 4 but it is not reading it..I put on any disks to like movies then music but nothing!!Please Help

Hey, be patient! This is a free forum run by volunteers..you wouldn't even get a paid service in 40 minutes!

Welcome to the forum, it sounds as though you either have a cable or DVD laser problem. To test, try another IDE cable or another DVD drive in your PC.

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

You can try and update the drivers for this drive via device manager.

Or you can try uninstall drive via device manager then reboot PC and let new hardware wizard install it.

Do you had a disk cleaner?

The CD/DVD disk that cleans your CD/DVD rom?
