Question Vista Gaming

When I use XP, my ping on games is about 40. But at the same time of the day on the same game, Vista throws my ping up to 150+.

Why is this?, and is there anyway to prevent this.

Thanks in advance.

First of, vista gaming, that just dosent go lol, its like saying Burning hot ice lol it just doesnt work.

Vista isnt as good as XP for games but im not sure why you would get a 400% increase in ping.

Whats games do you mean? Like counter strike source etc?

Well I have only just installed Vista (I am fully aware that XP is better). So the only game i have is the one that was on my USB pen, and thats Urban Terror.

Its not very demanding so there should be no problems, on XP my ping on that game has never been over 50. I was trying to play it at 10am on a saturday. Definetely not peak hours LOL.

URBAN TERROR! I ******* LOVE THAT GAME!!!!!!!!!

My friends laptop with wireless and vista ran urban terror ok, so i dont think its a vista problem?

And if you say you had good XP ping with the current ISP i dont think it was your ISP.

Ok try this, go onto urban terror, check the aveage pings of the servers

Then go to Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

And send me the pic of your speed. and Ping to the test server.
