Average ping of servers is 160.( Well thats the lowest anyway).

Ping to test server is 340. DL speed is 1.4mbs and US is 40mbs.

Omg, thats really bad mate, but i do get times when my internet is slow also, well it is 3pm so i suppose there are a few people on, and especially as BT is a very popular broadband choice.

Id blame the time of day, if its like this at 5pm - 7pm and 9pm without noticable change, then its vista. If not its the time of day.

But it could be something else :/

Do you use a router to connect or is it a straightthrough USB modem?

Your with BT so im guessing the home hub, do you connect wirelessly or by a cable?.

And lastly do you have windows firewall running AS well as Your software firewall? (Zonealarm etc)

I do not have Windows firewall, the only firewall I use is Comodo.

I am connecting via Ethernet.

I didnt bother checking, I just uninstalled vista. Its shocking really how bad it is.
