I have just bought a new pc with a 17inch widescreen monitor. Can anyone suggest a way of changing the settings to get the best size text etc?

I have it on the 100% that you click on at the bottom right hand-side, I tried the 125%, but then it misses off stuff at the edges of website pages.

Is it something to do with the pixel size? I don't know my way round this vista settings yet, not sure how to change things like that.

Please help as things look too small at the moment.

try this richt click your mouse any were on your screen,scoll to properties and open.On the sttings tab you can change resolution.

On appearance tab click advance you can change text/font etc using the drop down box,s and clicking on what you want to resize.

Thanks, but I couldn't do what you suggested. When I right click anywhere on the screen I get properties but it just says what type of monitor I have and I don't have any options here.

Also I've got up this morning and turned on the pc and everything on the screen has shrunk! it did this yesterday and I restored my settings to an earlier time and all was normal again, but I should have to be doing that everyday!

All the text is really small and the sides of web pages are shrunken. At the bottom right hand side it says 100% still.

Please help, I'll need glasses at this rate.

Hi,can you go into control panel then choose appearance and themes then screen resolution and then advance tab you can change your resolution and fonts etc.
Is it all fonts ie on desk top and internet explorer?

Could you also try this:go to microsoft update and choose custom install not express and scan for drivers there,I think you may need an upto date driver.

Did you have a floppy disk or CD/DVD that came with monitor?

I'm not sure, i will have a look thru the cd's that came with the pc tomorrow. thanks for your help so far. i will try what you said about going into the control panel. thanks.
