According to the specs of your Pc, it only has onboard graphics so unless you have physically fitted a new graphics card that would explain the problem you are having installing Catalyst.... As for the noise it sounds like it could be the fan spinning up as running a game with onboard graphics could cause it to get hotter inside the case...As the Pc is only 2 days old i would suggest taking it back to where you bought it and get them to check it over just to make sure its all ok

Hi - no I havent fitted any new graphics cards, thanks for clearing that out with me . The sound is actually very quiet but it's definatly there, its giving me a heasache even! Just because its so high pitched. I wont be able to get back to the shop I bought it from untill next week sometime unfortunatly - any ideas on anything else I could do to try and solve it etc? Cheers once more..

PS - I have it up on a table - while google searching I read that this can amplify the sounds and cause a high pitch ringing?

It sure could not hurt to try it--Put some kind of absorbent material under it-- a piece of corrugated cardboard, an old towel... anything to insulate any vibration
