As in, dual-boot them?

I assume you want to dual boot Vista and XP? Which would be fine, lol.

You may want to take a look at this here before hand, I'm not sure how comfortable you are with this process. But with regards to your question, then yes, running XP and Vista as a dual boot is a viable option.

It's actually very easy to do if you have two separate partitions or hard drives, either option will work.
I dual booted Vista back in the Release Candidate phase, but chose not to buy, so I'm back to XP.

Im running two separate hard drives as the xp drive was already partitioned and not much space left. But partitions will work fine.

What you can do also is grab Windows Virtual PC I think it's called, and you can run either Windows XP or Windows Vista from within another XP or Vista. I use it to mess around with Vista while retaining my base Windows XP installation.

You can get it for free off the Microsoft website:
Microsoft Virtual PC 2007
