Default [Answered] Task Scheduler will not send email

I am new to the forum. I am trying to send myself scheduled email notifications using Windows task scheduler. For some reason they will not send. I am logged on as Administrator. It might have something to do with securtiy that is blocking me.
I get this error message, "ERROR: user account restriction error, blank passwords not allowed, or that a policy restriction has been enforced." The Pop-Up notes function works fine. Can anyone help me get this going? Thank you.

Default Re: Task Scheduler will not send email

Hello Oak11, welcome to PCHF.

It sounds like you don't have a password set on your Administrator/user account. By default, you will not be able to use the scheduler on an account that doesn't have a password. There are options:

1) Set a password the account you want to use a scheduler on.
If you don't want to logon to the account each time you start the PC, then you can use something like TweakUI (Download Tweak UI 2.1 - filehippo.com), which you can use to auto logon with that password.

2) Alter your security policies (not always available).
- Go to My Computer, Control Panel, Administrative Tools followed by Local Security Policy.
- From here, click on the Local Policies category, Security Options.
- In the right hand pane, double click on "Accounts: Limit local account use of blank
passwords to Console logon only" and set it to Disable (Turn it off).
