Hello Captain113,

What do you mean getting the new installation recognized? You will need to install Vista using your Vista setup cd?

It is already installed on an older Dell. If I move the OS to the new machine (reinstall, take it off the older machine) won't there be a problem with MS?

Never mind, I must be behind the times as I thought you still had to beg someone to install it a second time on the new machine. I just found this on Engadget.com

hehe, yes if your no longer using it on the old PC, you can legally install it on your new one
