Red face my font size changed by itself and i can't change it back

Hi there,

i have a problem with my font size. when i closed my laptop and opened it again after a while, the font size changed to a larger one (96 DPI), by itself. when i go to control panel, it is telling me that this is the smallest one. it happend a few times already, but it usually went back to normal after restarting. but now it doesn't work. i don't know what to do, and it is annoying me because i got used to the smaller one already. does anybody know what i can do? thank you.

Are you sure its the font and not the display adapters resolution that has been lost?

that was the first thing i've tried. i can customize the font size but i can only make it larger not smaller. every time it happened, it was the same.
