Default [Fixed] Sound Problem.

I have bought a new pc with an ASRock ConRoe 1333-D667 motherboard with a Realtek HD Audio sound card, an Core2Duo 2.0 1gb ddr2 ram and a 8600GT gc. After installing Vista everything seemed totaly ok and it was untill i wanted to install the Sound Drivers cause the sound till then was very very dull. And i installed them and everything seemed great and the sound got much much better. But when trying to make a Msn call or a Skype pc-2-pc call, i was getting the message from those 2 applications that i dont have a Sound Card or the Sound Card is not selected
and i am using the latest versions of both Skype and Msn. When rolling back to default Vista drivers that problem is solved within Msn and Skype but the sound is incredibly dull then. The games run normal of eighter drivers but on the default driver the sound is very bad. I downloaded the newest drivers from Realtek for the Sound Card but the problem is appears again after there installation. Any suggestion are welcomed.
Best of regards.

Hi welcome to PCHF what do you mean by dull? Low sound volume? Did you go through the audio and video setup in MSN I don't use skype but I'd say you will have to do that there as well. It has speaker and mic volume in there.

No, not low volume surely, and the Sound options are made in both Msn and Skype thats not the problem anyway. And by dull i mean very low sound quality, surely not what an HD audio sound card should give and plus u can sense the diferece when having the Realtek drivers installed and not runing on Vista Default drivers.
Thats for that, and now......I've solved the problem and this is how to do it. So after installing the new drivers (Realtek 1.81 HD audio Codec) u just go to <control panel> then pick the <sound> options and go to <recording devices> . When ur in that windows do a <right click> and there will be 2 options <view disabled/disconected devices> select them both and after that an option will appear named <stereo mix> just enable that device to work and u have the problem solved, that is. After that it was working perfectly on Skype and Msn.
Take care all.
