Default Security center doesn't work

Hi
The Windows Security Center is not running and can't be started
When i try it says "the security center couldn't be started"

To resolve the problem, download Wscfix fix available below, and run it. Click the Inspect and Fix button once, and then restart Windows for the changes to take effect. Note that this utility requires administrator credentials to run correctly.

you know that didn't work
after reboot the visual went windows 98 and all the functions like search was gone. the fix messed with myregistry and the security center wasen't even working. luckly i had a registry buckup from last week but i had cleaned the registry a lot since that so thats not so good. i hope you have another sulution for the security center.

luckly i had a registry buckup from last week
You could have simply used the "Last known good" boot option.

Use the System Restore function to a time before you lost the SC or insert your Vista disc in Windows and select the "Upgrade" option. This will install a clean version of Vista without losing your existing data.

well i don't have a cd and i have the system restore turned off because i have heard that viruses can't be removed when added there.
but all is ok now

Actually they can - it requires deletion of previous restore points..but nm, if you're saying the problem is fixed I'll mark the thread as [Resolved].
