i have a problem with the free space on my hard drive. It tells me that the free space on my disc C is 17GBand this can not be true. I went through everything over and over again and I there is supposed to be around 40 GB. Where on earth has it all disappeared? Please can anyone give me a tip of what could I do to find out? Thanks a lot.

There are a number of things that may take up space, treesize will show you where the space is being used.

thanks, it helped . the program I used before was not very accurate. I am still missing 10 GB though. I dont know, but I suppose they are just hidden somewhere. Thank you
