Default Vista 32 bit or 64 bit

Hi i have bought a new computer and it can run 64 bit OS, Can you give me advice on which Vista OS system i should run on this computer 32 bit or 64 bit. I know that 64 bit is pretty new and there are lots of driver problems but how big are the problems and are the software company's catching up with 64 bit technology? I want to leave my computer future prove and want it to run as fast as possible. Can u please advice me on what to do.

Alright mate, I dont know all the technical ins and outs to be honest, but I am running vista ultimate 64bit and it runs nice and quick. I have had a couple of problems with some programs not working on a 64 bit system, but these are minimal and have never been a real issue. I hope my input helps you

Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable
Excellent browser, popular and very secure. Good support for addons and themes too

64bit Windows supports upto a theoretical 16TB of memory, where as 32bit will only support 3gb officially.

That's the biggest advancement. Also more things are moving towards 64bit, it's more secure and other random tidbits...

Firefox is good, but not as good as everyone says. Unfortunately IE7 and FF are the only 2 there are to chose from if you want a decent web browser - in my honest opinion.
