I often put my computer in hibernate or standby for faster booting. Im just wondering is this a good thing to be doing, like dose it ware out the computer. Maybe i just need a better understanding of what it means to be in stanby or hibernate.
Ok so if there is no diffrenc, but yet its faster then why isnt that just the normal procedure for shutdown like built into the OS. Becuse i know i love being able to hit the power button and having the login screen pop up right that instent.
What Hibernate does, is switches the computer to a low power state, without actually powering it off, you can leave documents, and files open, hibernate the PC and then quickly resume the session when you want to.
