Hey whatsup guys
my first problem is with regedit. when i run it it states that the admin has disabled registry editor, but it hasnt because im admin. i went to group policies and than went to user configuration, than i went to system, than where it says disable registry editing, i disabled that option. It worked, but it crashed 10 seconds in. Than i ran msconfig. the reason i was running all of this was to speed vista up a little bit, here is a link to the article i was following

i noticed that most of the windows config stuff stopped 10 or 20 seconds in.
i restarted the computer and now registry says admin disabled it.. yet again. and the option i disabled is still disabled.

2nd problem:
when i start itunes, it says that windows is configuring itunes
you know that little windows installer.msi thing.
i had just installed office 2007 before this started occuring

Office 2007 has been known to cause alot of problems.If possible uninstall it and see if problems with itunes and the registry go away.

ok the problem with the registry solved- i had a nasty ****** called ifrasel virus or soemthing like that. it injects itself into active x, if you google virus it crashes your internet explorer. it also pops up wierd messages that are anti american and stuff. it injected itself into my c harddrive folder on xp but got into my vista somehow. i used registry booster- which gave me registry access. than i removed it.

Hmm then you might want to click Prework in my signature and do what the page says.If you have 1 virus you might have more.Post the logs back to the thread.A security tech will then check it over so we can get to other possibilities.
