I am having a problem with update manager, it just does not want to work. i called dell support and they could not help me, i called microsoft and they told me that the install shield update manager is a third party program and they could not help me. So i called macrovision and they told me to install the new program called software manager. so i did and im still having the same problem. its just does not want to open. can any one please help me? and do i realy need this program in my PC?

no its called software manager and it was on my pc when i purchased it. i have a dell xps 410.
